The Oriental Siam Resort is located in a village setting next to a beautiful Temple with views of the Doi Suthep mountain. Both the Chiang Mai city Center and the international airport are only a 15 minutes drive from the resort the ultimate in oriental grace. There are also many attractions nearby including modern shopping Center and local markets, championship golf courses and local arts and handicraft villages. Airport and train station transfer are provided free of charge and we offer reasonably priced tours to local places of interest.. The owners and management of the resort are Chiang Mai born hence they have a knowledge of the area that cannot be found in any guide book.

The accommodation comprises of five large one-bedroom villas and a substantial three-bedroom villa each with private terrace and gardens. The resort facilities include a Rice Barn Restaurant offering both traditional Thai and western style menus, a swimming pool, fitness and conference centre, a library with internet facility and communal tropical gardens with a natural pond.

The villas are substantially built in the Lanna style each having a large roofed terrace, overlooking the pond and tropical gardens for

relaxing or enjoying your room service meals. The interiors are luxuriously appointed with craftsman built teak furnishing, flat screen TV, DVD, and reasonably priced mini bar. All villas have separate dressing/beauty rooms and have large quality fitted bathrooms. The floorings are ceramic tiled or finished with quality antique polished teak boarding and all bedrooms have air conditioning.

Ninneth and Fuangfha Villas

The Ninneth and Fuangfha Villas are twin villas and can be reserved together for family occupation or separate villa rental. The villas are bridge linked over the lazy river a total area in excess of 106m2. Each villa has bedrooms with separate dressing/beauty room linking to luxury bathrooms with shower, bath, washbasin and there is also a fully equipped kitchen. Each unit has roofed terrace areas with teak benching overlook the tropical gardens and the pond. The Villas access a private garden to the rear with waterfall and have natural shade from palm trees.

Lotus Villa

Lotus Villa is the jewel of the Oriental Siam Resort and has views of the local temple and the Doi Suthep mountain. It is substantially built in the traditional Lanna style having external walls finished with antique teak wood cladding and large teak wood columns supporting the upper terracing and roof. The internal floors are finished in polished teak boarding and the access to the terrace is via beautiful artisan carved teak wood doors.

The accommodation is arranged over two floors, the upper level consists of a living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two roofed terrace areas. The lower level has a bedroom, a bathroom with Jacuzzi and a luxury appointed kitchen with a substantial terrace area. All rooms are beautifully appointed with craftsman built teak furniture, and the highest quality fixtures and fittings. The living accommodation is 130m2 with an additional 60m2 of roofed terrace on the upper floor and 110m2 of terrace on the ground floor.

The proprietors of the OSR are Native Thai. They have lived in the village for several generations and family members still live within a stones throw from the resort. Our aim has been to create an environment that is tranquil and luxurious but still maintains the special experience of local Thai hospitality. The Oriental Siam Resort is situated only 5 minutes from the arts & handicraft villages with many temples and the Underground Ancient City nearby. Within 20 minutes there are golf courses, hot springs and an ancient Buddhist cave. The famous Doi Suthep temple and the Winter Palace are 45 minutes away at the top of the mountain where you can enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air. The elephant training camps are located in the mountain region where the elephants can be seen, ridden and fed each morning before they return to their natural habitat. You can also visit the waterfalls, orchid farms, a snake farm and monkey school. For the more adventurous the jungle trekking, elephant riding and the hill-tribes villages are an experience not to be missed. The thrill seekers can visit the extreme sports centre with a bungy jump, karting, paintball, white water rafting etc.
