Ruean Sai Lom Restaurant

friezes and the magnificent Choengmon Beach. Impeccable design combined
with luxurious use of flowers, fabrics and stone do make you 'feel like
a president'. The tables are sectioned off from one other by the clever
use of drapes and hangings, making it feel like an extremely private
affair. And although 'up-market', there is no dress code. At one table
you'll find shorts and T-shirts worn by a honeymooning couple, while at
the next there'll be a group of executives in tuxedos, creating a
friendly, Bohemian ambience.

small, yet sophisticated spa. Our spa facilities include a jacuzzi and a
newly built airconditioned massage salon. The massage salon can be
sub-divided into two rooms, each with two massage beds, for both Thai
and international health treatments. Use of the jacuzzi is complimentary
for our hotel guests.
Thai Massage
Thai Massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using passive
stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. These movements help
to
adjust the skeletal structure
increase flexibility
relieve muscular and joint tension
stimulate internal organs
balance the body's energy system
The effect is uniquely relaxing as well as energizing.
Sessions typically last two hours, and are performed on a floor mat
with the client dressed in comfortable loose clothing. Thai Massage uses
two primary procedures - applying gentle pressure with the hands and
feet, and a wide variety of passive stretching movements.
This ancient therapy is beneficial for young or old, active or
inactive, healthy or not so healthy. While each person will respond to
this work in terms of their own experience and present state of health,
it is well to remember that Thai Massage has been used for countless
generations to treat degenerative conditions and promote wellness.
Thai Massage facilitates a sense of unity, wholeness, and balance. It
creates a dynamic physical experience which integrates the body, mind,
emotions and spirit.
Swedish Massage
The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques
specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them
against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as
the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage was developed
in the 1700's by a Swedish doctor named Pir Henrik Ling.
The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in
the blood and release toxins from the muscles.
Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by
flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic
wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It
stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable.
Swedish Massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes
the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both
emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress
management. It also has many specific medical uses.
Swedish massage techniques include: long strokes, kneading, friction,
tapping, percussion, vibration, effleurage, and shaking motions. The
usually sequence of techniques are:
Effleurage: Gliding strokes with the palms, thumbs and/or fingertips
Petrissage: Kneading movements with the hands, thumbs and/or fingers
Friction: Circular pressures with the palms of hands, thumbs and/or
fingers
Vibration: Oscillatory movements that shake or vibrate the body
Percussion: Brisk hacking or tapping
Passive and active movements: Bending and stretching
Benefits of Swedish Massage:
Swedish massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating. It affects
the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and
well being.
Aroma Therapy
Aroma Therapy can be defined as the art and science of utilizing
naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize
and promote the health of body, mind and spirit. It is an art and
science which seeks to explore the physiological, psychological and
spiritual realm of the individual's response to aromatic extracts as
well as to observe and enhance the individual's innate healing process.
As a holistic medicine, Aromatherapy is both a preventative approach as
well as an active treatment during acute and chronic stages of illness
or 'dis'-ease.
It is a natural, non-invasive treatment system designed to affect the
whole person not just the symptom or disease and to assist the body's
natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself by the
correct use of essential oils.
Aromatherapy is essentially an interaction between the therapist,
client and essential oils, working together to bring forth the healing
energy which will help the client regain their sense of well being and
vitality.
Foot Reflexology Massage
Therapeutic massage has a long history in Thailand, with the
techniques having passed unchanged down the centuries. Its roots can be
traced back to ancient India where Jivaka Komarabhacca, a physician, who
was a friend and contemporary of Lord Buddha, established the
techniques, that are still used to this day, some 2,500 years ago.
Nature designed our feet for walking on uneven and rough ground, thus
massaging our feet to keep our bodies healthy. REFLEXOLOGY is based on
the principle that our nerves or zones end at the bottom of our feet.
These zones or reflex points go from the bottom of our feet to the top
of our head, encompassing all vital organs on the way When we press or
massage a certain point on the bottom of our foot, we send energy, via
that zone, to the corresponding area in our body. So we are helping our
body to heal itself by balancing our energies. Tender zones or points
may indicate that part of our body requires help or energy sent to it,
via the reflex point.
Body Scrubs
Overexposure to either heat or cold can cause the skin on your body
to become dry, scaly, flaky and itchy. Body scrubs remove the dead skin
making room for new skin that is silky soft. Our skin is composed of
multiple layers, each with its own specific task. The outer layer, or
dead zone has the debris of days gone by. Showers and baths clean away
surface grime, but the dead zone remains as a rough, flaky layer. This
layer must be removed with an abrasive material usually a scrub, polish
or glow. Indulge your body and let your senses come alive Body Scrubs
are an excellent way to pamper yourself. Your skin will feel like you
just were massaged from head to toe. Scrubs can be used as little as
once a week, although our scrubs are gentle enough to use as often as
you desire over your entire body or just for smoothing target rough
spots - elbows, knees and feet.
